Michigan School Bus Crash Leaves Driver, Students Injured
Summer Morning Shattered by Accident
Detroit, Michigan – A school bus carrying 11 special needs students veered out of control Wednesday morning, skidding on a wet highway surface before violently colliding with a semi-truck on westbound I-94 near US-127, according to Michigan State Police. The school bus, en route amidst a morning downpour, is said to have hit a surface slick, causing it to hydroplane across the highway. Injured Parties
Onboard the bus were 11 special needs students, an attendant, and the driver. State Police have confirmed that the school bus driver and three students were severely injured. First responders provided immediate emergency medical care at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Investigation Underway
The cause of the accident is being thoroughly investigated by the state police in co-operation with various other responsible authorities.
