Exciting Updates on Violent J’s New Live Show and Other Projects

Here’s some news for the fans of the Insane Clown Posse: Violent J, one-half of the famous rap duo, has a fun treat up his sleeve! The Detroit-based rapper is all set to dish out some entertaining anecdotes from his life at his new live show named “Story Time with Violent J”. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Token Lounge in Westland.

The rapper’s live show debuted last December at the One Night Stans Comedy Club in Waterford. Struck with the flavor of your traditional comedy sketches? Well, J, sorry to disappoint but this show isn’t primarily about cracking carnival clown jokes. Instead, J promises a downpour of off-the-wall tales. “I’m just telling fresh stories, and stories that really made me happy and stood out in my life,” says J.

Look forward to witty narratives that tell-tale J’s unique encounters and experiences in the music industry and much more. All these stories are bound together by a common thread – the feeling of being an outsider. J enlightened his fans saying, “None of these stories mean s— until you understand I am not one of them,”. The underpinned humor lends a unique edge to the stories shared by the rapper.

For the upcoming show, J will be accompanied on-stage by Ouija Macc, an artist from ICP’s Psychopathic Records, and pro wrestler turned podcaster, Colt Cabana. Most of the show will revolve around J recounting compelling pieces from his life.

Inspired by the transition of pro-wrestlers into one-man shows, J tried his hand at a similar show format and began experimenting during COVID lockdown. Starting with spoken-word performances for fans at his home, he then took to debut his live show.

Besides the storytelling, J and his brethren rap duo are preparing for their 24th annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival set to take place from Aug. 14-18 in Thornville, Ohio. The lineup includes a performance by Rakim and a hot wing eating contest, among other exciting activities.

Violent J is also involved in setting up a new pro wrestling show called “JCW Lunacy”. Amidst his busy schedule, he’s also been working on the group’s new album, their first since 2021’s “Yum Yum Bedlam”. The album doesn’t have a name yet, and it’s coming along slowly, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be worth the wait.

So, fans of the Insane Clown Posse, hang tight and stay tuned for more updates on Violent J’s upcoming projects and events!
