A unique opportunity for nature enthusiasts has cropped up in Northville, MI. There’s an interesting avenue to explore the nightlife of nature in an adventurous way. It’s time to share the dusk with nature’s fascinating creatures – bats. This nocturnal journey is set to take place at Maybury State Park.

The bat hike is planned on a grand scale, to unveil the hidden secrets and life aspects of these night creatures. Coordinated by the team at the Outdoor Adventure Center and DNR Explorer Program, the event is scheduled from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.

It’s a free activity requiring prior registration that ends at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Those keen on participating must possess a Recreation Passport, which is obligatory for entry to Maybury State Park. The hike is recommended for individuals who are at least eight years old.

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for an adventurous outdoor hike along uneven, natural trails. The hike will be cancelled in case of inclement weather, but otherwise, it’s set to go head-to-head with nature’s nightlife wonders.

What Does The Bat Hike Entail?

The scheduled hike has an exciting agenda covering various aspects related to bats. The discussion ranges from bat biology to the ecosystem and their natural habitats. It’s a wonderful chance to delve deeper into the lives of these amazing creatures.
