All-Female Rock Band PLUSH Thrills Audiences at Token Lounge

The all-female rock band PLUSH is all set to thrill audiences at the Token Lounge on Saturday, August 3rd! This talented group of ladies took some time off their busy schedules to discuss their journey, their experiences, and their thoughts on the future of rock.

Moriah, Bella, Ashley, and Faith opened up about various topics, including their personal interests outside music. Moriah, for instance, shared her love for fishing, describing it as a peaceful and relaxing activity, a stark contrast to their hectic band life.

The band had toured earlier this year with none other than the iconic rock band, Disturbed. Reminiscing about the experience, Moriah called it “absolutely incredible,” with Bella adding that everyone in the Disturbed camp was fantastic. Moriah was given the unique opportunity to sing ‘Don’t Tell Me’ in the place of Anne Wilson, each night with the band, a moment she describes as ‘super surreal’.

PLUSH also did a stellar cover of Heart’s classic ‘Barracuda.’ Even though they are yet to hear from the legendary rockers, the band is hopeful it’ll happen someday.

When asked about being labeled an ‘all-female rock band’, Moriah confidently stated that they were, in essence, just a rock band doing their thing. Bella added that they had seen a significant shift in the rock scene, with many women taking center stage. They both expressed pride at being part of this female movement within rock music.

Moriah’s powerful vocals have earned her a spot touring with TSO for the past few winters. Describing the experience, she expressed pride at being part of such an incredible event.

The band’s exciting ‘Find The Beautiful’ tour is making its way to Detroit’s Token Lounge. Be sure not to miss out on what promises to be an evening filled with incredible music and unforgettable performances.

Turning our spotlight to the venue itself, the Token Lounge in Westland on Joy Road holds a rich history within its walls. The venue, owned by John Anton since 1994, has proudly hosted thousands of national and local bands on its stage. Esteemed local guitar hero and Motley Crue John 5 had once expressed unwavering loyalty to the venue, promising to play here no matter his fame or success.

John Anton speaks fondly of the bands that graced his stage over the years, many of which held iconic status during the 80s. Names include Slaughter, Kings X, Saxon, UFO, Angel, Lynch Mob, Firehouse, Don Dokken, Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple, Steven Adler from GNR, Winger, Tom Keifer from Cinderella, and countless more.

Indeed, the Token Lounge is more than just a venue; it’s a walk through rock history. So, do yourself a favor and witness music history in action at the Token Lounge; you never know when you might bump into a childhood hero on stage.
