Los Angeles Welcomes Novi Alum Erin Chupinsky as A Star Aerialist

Excitement is in the air in Los Angeles, where the always enchanting “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is playing! Among the talented cast is a familiar face to those from Novi, Erin Chupinsky, who has taken her artistic talents from her high school stage all the way to Broadway. With her show-stopping performance as an aerialist, she proves that dreams truly can take flight.

A Journey That Began with Peter Pan

Over 20 years ago, a young Erin took center stage in her high school’s rendition of “Peter Pan”. It was there that she discovered her love for the performing arts and, as she fondly recalls, learned how to soar. This initial spark ignited a passion that would lead her on an incredible theatrical journey, filled with many twists and turns.

From Novi to the National Stage

Her journey didn’t stop there! After finishing high school, she made her way to Western Michigan University to further her studies in musical theater. Wanting to immerse herself in the rich world of drama and performance, she even spent a semester at the esteemed Lamda University in London, diving deep into the intricacies of classical theater.

Chupinsky is no stranger to the stage, having graced various national tours of renowned shows like “Cats,” “Love Never Dies,” “Hello, Dolly!”, and “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. You could say she has a bit of a talent for capturing hearts, as this marks her ninth national tour! This spectacular path has turned her into a major player in the performing arts scene, with performances spread across 48 states and 35 countries on five continents.

A Life Devoted to Performance

Chupinsky’s career can best be described as a delightful mix of experiences, featuring regional theater and national tours, a veritable “mishmash” of exciting opportunities that have shaped her as a performer. This passion is evident, as she embraces her current role to not only entertain but also to inspire the next generation of artists.

Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Artists

With a career full of accomplishments, Chupinsky encourages young performers to stay adaptable and persevere through the rejections that are often a part of the industry. Emphasizing the importance of community involvement, she suggests aspiring actors engage with local theaters, school productions, and summer camps to sharpen their skills.

Moreover, she believes in the essential elements of luck and timing that play a significant role in the arts world. Chupinsky has often highlighted the importance of being resourceful and determined in this highly competitive field. After all, every great performer must find their place in the spotlight!

Beyond the Stage: Fitness and Future Dreams

When she’s not performing, Erin is a powerhouse offstage, having completed 29 marathons across 23 different states. This fitness dedication reflects her strong commitment to both her art and personal well-being. During her travels, Erin prefers staying in cozy Airbnbs or with family instead of traditional hotels, embracing new environments and the unique experiences they offer.

Chupinsky holds a big dream for the future—bringing a new show to Broadway, with aspirations of reviving “Love Never Dies.” She acknowledges the unwavering support from her parents, who encouraged her early on to pursue dance and theater, laying the foundation for her bright career.
