Eloise Asylum Transforms into Haunted Attraction with Celebrity Guests for Halloween in Westland, MI

Exciting Events at Eloise Asylum in Westland, MI

Westland, MI, is buzzing with excitement as it opens its doors to one of the most unique Halloween experiences this year. The historic Eloise Asylum, known for its rich and eerie history, is transforming into a haunted attraction that will leave you on the edge of your seat. As if that weren’t thrilling enough, the event is bringing in some star power! The asylum will welcome Marty Klebba, who is most recognized for his role in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” on Friday, October 11. And that’s not all—check out Lew Temple from “The Walking Dead” when he visits on Friday, October 25.

About the Eloise Asylum

Located at 30712 Michigan Avenue, the Eloise Asylum has a storied past. Founded way back in 1839 as a poorhouse, it later grew into one of the largest psychiatric hospital complexes in the country. Psychiatric care wrapped up there in 1979, and the general hospital closed its doors in 1984. While most of the 75 buildings that once made up the complex were razed in the mid-80s, what remains has a reputation for being one of Michigan’s most haunted places, attracting thrill-seekers and ghost hunters alike.

A Unique Haunted Attraction Experience

This is the fourth season for the Eloise Asylum haunted attraction. With a range of chilling experiences designed to delight horror fans, it has become one of the biggest haunted attractions in Michigan. The attraction is open every weekend in October—from Friday to Sunday—and will also be open on Saturday, November 2. If you’re ready for a spooky adventure, the haunted attraction lasts for approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are available in timed slots, so you can ensure your group doesn’t have to wait too long before experiencing the chills!

Ticket Information

Pricing for admission varies depending on your choice. General admission tickets range from $24.99 to $44.99, while VIP tickets offer an upgraded experience ranging from $39.99 to $74.99. Please keep in mind that prices for celebrity autographs and photo ops are separate from the general admission ticket. It’s a great chance to not just get scared but also meet your favorite stars!

Why You Should Attend

If you’re not convinced yet, think about this: where else can you explore a historic psychiatric hospital while being entertained by celebrities? The combination of a spine-chilling atmosphere, thrilling attractions, and the chance to mingle with familiar faces from your favorite shows and movies makes this event a must-attend. So, gather your friends, put on your bravest face (and maybe your most comfortable walking shoes), and get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Eloise Asylum.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re a local resident or visiting from out of town, Westland’s Eloise Asylum has something for everyone this Halloween season.
