Canton Township Cops Cuff Dude In Underwear, Spot Gun While Retrieving Pants

It’s not every day you find a gun while grabbing a pair of pants. In Canton Township, Michigan, that’s exactly what happened. Police officers hanging out in the neighborhood had an unexpected surprise when they spotted a local guy in his underwear shuffling around an Audi SUV parked on the street.

The man, known around town as Brandon Patrick Mills, 33, is actually resident of Warren, Michigan. The Canton Township officers were investigating him in connection with a car theft reported in June 2024, which is probably why they were hanging out near his home in the first place.

After seeing Mills outside in nothing but his underwear, rifling through an SUV, the cops decided to intervene. They cuffed him then and there, right outside his house. Mills requested to go inside his house to put on some pants, and the officers agreed to accompany him in.

The police asked Mills if there are any weapons in his home, and he informed them that there was a gun on his bedroom dresser. They found a loaded 9 mm Glock handgun right where Mills said it would be, disturbingly close to his infant daughter, a mere three feet away.

The officers seized the weapon and promptly contacted Child Protective Services regarding the incident. The plot thickens as it was found that Mills had an extensive rap sheet, with over a dozen felony convictions to his name.

Mills’ previous convictions include breaking into a car back in 2018, where he was slapped with a hefty 15-300 months in prison. He was also found guilty of arson in 2013, for which he served 24-240 months. By having this gun, knowing he was prohibited from owning one due to his criminal past, Mills knowingly broke the law again.
