Hosted by Legacy Adoption Services (LAS) and River’s Edge Brewing Company, the event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and it’s all about coming together for a great cause.

Why Legacy Day Matters

So, what’s all the fuss about? Legacy Day aims to raise awareness about the vital topic of adoption through foster care and to support the excellent services provided by Legacy Adoption Services. Established in 1977, LAS is one of Michigan’s largest private adoption agencies and has successfully placed over 10,000 children in loving homes. That’s a staggering number and a true testament to the work being done to support children in need.

With around 10,000 children currently in foster care in Michigan—and roughly 2,000 waiting for a permanent adoptive family—the need for community involvement has never been greater. Legacy Day highlights the importance of foster parents and the transformative journeys of families adopting children, many of whom have faced considerable challenges in their young lives.

A Fun-Filled Evening Awaits

But this isn’t just a serious affair! Attendees can look forward to a lively night filled with delicious free food, thanks to River’s Edge Brewing Company, which will provide grilled hot dogs and chips for everyone. And if you’re feeling thirst or hunger pangs, fear not—there will be craft beer and various food items available for purchase!
