Salem Township exhales as missing endangered man found safe and sound
Just in from Salem Township, Michigan, an 82-year-old, who had disappeared under worrying circumstances, has been found safe and sound. Remember folks, we’re talking about Donald Roberts who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and went missing from his home on Chubb Road early Thursday morning.
If you’ve been following the story, you’ll know that Donald was last seen in his home at 2 a.m. and was reported missing after he left his house between that time and 6 a.m. The vehicle he was driving was a 2006 Gray Chevy Malibu with an Illinois license plate.
Well, it turns out that the tireless efforts of state police and perhaps well-wishers saying a few prayers, had a positive outcome today. At about 10:30 a.m. this Thursday, an update came through social media informing everyone that Donald Roberts was eventually found and he is safe.
Further details about his condition or where he was found have not been released yet. But folks, the most important thing is, our friendly neighbor is safe and no longer missing.
The community’s concern and response to this incident remind us that we should always look out for each other, particularly the elderly and those who are dealing with any kind of illness or disability.
Just another day in the life of our community, looking after one another. A shout out to everyone who cared, shared this news, and helped in any way possible. This surely calls for some celebration. Let’s pop a cork, shall we?
Let’s not forget, the golden rule still applies: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
