New Faces Join the Living and Learning Enrichment Center Board in Northville

The vibrant city of Northville has exciting news for its community! The Living and Learning Enrichment Center, known for its incredible work supporting individuals with disabilities, has recently appointed three new members to its board of directors. The newly welcomed members are Minoti Rajput, John Avdoulos, and Michael Daranyi.

Strengthening the Mission

Rachelle Vartanian, who is the founder and president of the center, expressed her enthusiasm regarding these new appointments. “The addition of Minoti, John, and Michael to our board strengthens our ability to deliver on our mission,” she stated. This emphasis on strengthening the board signals a commitment to continuing the center’s fantastic work in enriching lives. With their diverse backgrounds and extensive experiences, these three individuals are sure to make a significant impact.

Meet Minoti Rajput

Minoti Rajput is not just someone with impressive credentials; she’s a compassionate advocate for families with special needs. As a certified financial planner and chartered special needs consultant with an MBA, her expertise is invaluable. She has dedicated nearly four decades to helping affluent families plan their financial futures, ensuring lifelong care for their loved ones with special needs.

Rajput has worked with more than 1,500 families over the past 30 years. Her commitment to this community is evident through her active roles with organizations such as the Academy of Special Needs Planning and the advisory board of FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation.

John Avdoulos: A Local Leader

Next up is John Avdoulos, who is a partner and office director at HKS, a national architecture firm. Living in Novi, Avdoulos has played an active role in local governance, serving on the Novi City Planning Commission for multiple terms. His involvement in community betterment doesn’t stop there—he is currently the vice chair of the commission and chairs the Master Plan and Zoning Committee.

In addition to his architectural endeavors and community service, Avdoulos also leads as the Parish Council president at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. His educational background includes three degrees from Lawrence Technological University, showcasing his dedication to both academics and community service.

Meet Michael Daranyi

Last but certainly not least is Michael Daranyi. Serving as the vice president of finance and treasurer for ITC Holdings Corp in Novi, Daranyi brings vital experience in financial planning and risk management. Having previously fulfilled treasurer roles for nonprofits in Tucson, Arizona, he is well-versed in community initiatives. His advocacy extends beyond just numbers; he is a passionate supporter of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

With a multicultural background, Daranyi actively champions the importance of cultural awareness and the celebration of diversity in both business and community settings. His impressive educational achievements include a Master of Business Administration in finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Arizona.
