As fans filed out of the stadium around 7:30 p.m., tensions escalated among several juveniles, leading to multiple fights breaking out in the parking lot.

The Westland Police were quick to respond, aiming to diffuse the situation. However, amid the chaos, several officers found themselves drawn into the fray. reports indicate that two officers were assaulted—one was struck multiple times, while another suffered a concussion along with strained neck muscles. It’s shocking to learn that during this altercation, a police officer even had their body camera stolen, though it was later recovered following an investigation.

Due to the alarming violence, the police arrested a total of twelve juveniles. Among them, two are facing serious charges for assault and battery on a police officer.
