Ready to own a piece of paradise? Two exceptional Michigan properties are heading to the auction block soon, offering a rare chance to buy some truly unique real estate.
One of these standout properties is Eagle’s Crest, a breathtaking waterfront home that proudly stands as the only residence on an 80-acre island. This private island retreat boasts 400 feet of scenic shoreline and offers unparalleled privacy. “It’s a place where you can have total privacy away from the world,” says Dylan Tent from Signature Sotheby’s International Realty.
The other gem, known as Castello Montebello, is a luxurious European-style mansion located in Northville. Spanning 2.2 acres, this estate has an impressive history of hosting U.S. presidents and foreign dignitaries. With over 16,000 square feet of living space, it features seven bedrooms and a stunning 13-seat theater designed to replicate New York City’s iconic Paramount Theater.
Both properties have been on and off the market for several years. Eagle’s Crest, previously listed for $5.9 million and featured in several prestigious publications, is a masterful creation by DesRosiers Architects. This Nantucket-style property includes a main lake house, a boathouse, and a six-car garage with additional living space. The main residence has three bedrooms, plenty of sunlit living areas, and beautiful water views. A cozy boathouse adds even more charm with a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, and a veranda overlooking the serene waters.
Castello Montebello was once listed at $4.9 million, with an even higher asking price of $14.5 million back in 2014. This grand estate includes a guard house, a remarkable four-floor free-floating staircase, 7.2 bathrooms, and eight fireplaces. Sitting just five blocks away from Northville’s main shopping and restaurant area, it also spans an additional 4-plus acres that could be auctioned off. Local listings have highlighted its towering elevation, claiming it’s the highest in Wayne and Washtenaw counties.
The starting bid for Eagle’s Crest, located at 14625 Edgewater Drive in Lyndon Township, will be $1.7 million. Castello Montebello at 590 Dubuar in Northville will have a starting bid of $1.5 million.
Interluxe Auction is handling the sale, bringing these estates to a broader audience through online auction. According to Stacy Kirk, vice president of the auction house, “Auction marketing engages broader and new audience, allowing the seller to secure a time-sensitive sale.”
Curious buyers can preview these properties on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Viewings are a must before making any bids. To join the auction, buyers will need to sign the terms and conditions and provide a $75,000 good faith deposit.
The auction kicks off at 9 a.m. on Aug. 26 at Interluxe.com/auctions. Don’t miss your chance to own one of these remarkable estates!
