Not long after the first couple walked in, three more people entered the store, making for a total of five individuals. Haddad explained, “Five people here at once, and that was their strategy.” This allowed one of them to distract the employee while another person quietly accessed a display case.

Within just ten minutes, the thieves made their move. According to Haddad, the person tasked with stealing the jewelry slid open a showcase and took the tray packed with diamond and gold rings. “They are good at what they do,” he remarked, noting how efficient the team was.
The theft unfolded with a surprising twist as the employee turned to retrieve a ring sizer after one of the men asked about his ring size. “As we turned around to grab the ring sizer, they were basically gone,” Haddad recounted. It was only later, when they were ready to close for the day, that they discovered the empty tray. “He noticed the tray was empty there, and he said, ‘Oh my God, they took the tray,’” Haddad described, visibly still shocked by the experience.
