Novi Welcomes a Sweet New Spot: Chocolate Moonshine Cocoa Lounge
Just in time for the holiday season, the bustling city of Novi has something sweet to celebrate! The newly opened Chocolate Moonshine Cocoa Lounge at Twelve Oaks Mall is making quite the splash with its delightful assortment of chocolate confections. If you’re searching for the perfect gift or simply want to treat yourself—look no further! You might even want to ask Santa to make a special stop here!
A Heavenly Selection Awaits
From fudge to truffle bars, and even pan candies, this cozy little shop has it all, and they aren’t shy about branding their treats as “illegally good.” If you’re skeptical, fear not—samples are available to prove just how delicious their offerings truly are! According to Jim McIntosh, a retired GM employee and the proud Milford resident who opened the shop, “The product is amazing, and once people have it, they continue to want to buy it.” Sounds promising, right?
McIntosh and his family have already begun to see a flurry of repeat customers drawn to their tantalizing chocolates. Among them is Ayna Bowser from Brownstown, who works at the mall and describes her order of iced sipping chocolate as “phenomenal.” Such glowing reviews are surely boosting spirits as the holidays approach!
Truffle Bars Galore
One of the main attractions at Chocolate Moonshine is the stunning truffle bars. Made with pure Belgian chocolate and hand-painted with colorful cocoa butter, these beauties are filled with creamy ganache in a plethora of flavors. Customers can choose from a 2-, 4-, or 10-pack, with festive deals like buy one, get one 50% off throughout the season!
Holiday-themed collections are also available, featuring delightful flavors like gingerbread, cinnamon strudel, and candy cane. For those who prefer the classics, there are tasty options such as tiramisu, sea salt caramel, and raspberry—not to mention the intriguing distillery line with alcohol-infused goodies like barrel-aged whiskey and Irish cream. The best part? McIntosh assures that despite the alcoholic flavors, the chocolates are entirely kid-friendly, as the alcohol evaporates in the cooking process.
A Sweet Journey
Chocolate Moonshine’s journey began in Pennsylvania, where founder Chris Warman crafted chocolates as far back as the mid-1980s. By the end of that decade, his renowned fudge recipe captured the hearts of many! Fast forward around thirty years, and here we are with multiple locations sprouting up across various states, complete with franchise opportunities on the horizon.
Jim and his family learned about Chocolate Moonshine during a conference for their laser engraving business. After visiting a candy factory in Pittsburgh and a shop in Macy’s, they couldn’t resist bringing this sweet idea to Michigan! Originally launching the first Chocolate Moonshine in Brighton last February, they have quickly become a hit at area festivals.
Community Appreciation
Warman is making a trip to Michigan soon, bringing along exciting new products for the shop. McIntosh is thrilled to share that the business is committed to supporting community fundraisers, including those for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Interestingly enough, the Novi location was initially intended as a pop-up store, but with such overwhelming community response, McIntosh is considering extending their stay beyond January. “Our hope and dream is to stay here, but it will depend on the response from the community and negotiating terms with the mall,” he said. Who could resist such delectable treats? “I love this product and the quality taste,” McIntosh added. With happy employees and a joyful atmosphere, this chocolate shop is not just a store; it’s a community experience!
So, whether you’re tackling your holiday shopping, indulging in a sweet treat, or simply wanting to explore something new, be sure to check out the Chocolate Moonshine Cocoa Lounge in Novi. Your taste buds will thank you!
