It’s that time of year again in Plymouth Township, and the local Fire Department is had up its sleeves with some exciting events to support our community! Get ready for a day filled with fun, food, and a whole lot of heart, as the firefighters from IAFF Union Local 1496 are rolling out two fantastic fundraising events on Saturday, February 22, 2025!
First up is the yummy and heartwarming event dubbed “Pancakes with a Purpose,” happening at none other than Stella’s Black Dog Tavern on 860 Fralick St. from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Imagine the smell of delicious pancakes wafting through the air, paired with crispy bacon and fluffy scrambled eggs! Sounds delightful, right?
For just $18 for adults and $12 for kids, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast while knowing your meal supports noble causes. Gather your family and friends for this tasty morning treat and enjoy a meal that truly makes a difference!
After indulging in those delicious pancakes, it’s time to grab your bowling shoes and head over to Plaza Lanes at 42001 Ann Arbor Rd. Join in on the fun at the “Pins & Purpose” bowling event, kicking off from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. For only $20 per person, you get to showcase your bowling skills while enjoying two games and pizza! Sounds like a great way to shake off that breakfast, right?
What’s even better? A portion of the proceeds from both of these events will go to the Plymouth Township Fire Fighters Charity, which is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. This charitable effort is a significant continuation of a proud tradition by Local 1496 union members who have been committed to supporting the Plymouth Township community. From backing children’s sports teams to assisting families in need, the fire department has always been there when the community needed a helping hand.
Last year, our dedicated firefighters didn’t just battle blazes; they also battled for the greater good! They generously donated both their time and funds to local charities like the Miracle League of Plymouth, Salvation Army, United Way, and even the Breast Cancer Awareness Health Campaign. Their work has truly made a significant impact right here in our town!
So, mark your calendar, grab your friends and family, and get ready to join in on the fun! Tickets for both events will be available at the door. It’s a straightforward way for all of us to contribute to a fantastic cause while enjoying a day of fun activities! Come out, get to know your neighbors, and support those heroes who are always there to help keep us safe.
The Plymouth Township Fire Department is excited to invite everyone for a day filled with food, rolling strikes, and the joy of giving back to the community. Your participation not only fills your belly but also fills many hearts with gratitude and hope in our beloved Plymouth Township!
