Plymouth-Canton Families, Your School Meals Are Safe and Nutritious!

Hey there, Plymouth-Canton! With all the recent news headlines about food recalls and safety alerts, it’s only natural to feel a bit anxious about what’s being served in schools. But guess what? Your P-CCS Food & Nutrition Department is here to put your mind at ease!

We’ve Got Your Back!

Our team knows how important it is to keep kids well-fed and healthy, especially during these times when food safety is top of mind for many families. So, let’s clear up any worries right away: none of the items that have been recalled are on our cafeteria menus. That’s right! You can count on us to serve up only the best and safest meals for our students.

Strict Safety Standards

How do we ensure everything is safe, you ask? Well, our Food & Nutrition team takes food safety seriously. We follow strict protocols that are designed to maintain high standards from the very moment food arrives at our doors to when it’s served on your child’s tray. We collaborate closely with our suppliers to ensure that all food shipments are thoroughly inspected and stored properly. Every step of the way, we’re on it!

Immediate Action on Recalls

In the unlikely event that there’s ever a food recall, we don’t just sit back and wait. Our vigilant staff regularly monitors food deliveries and if any affected items pop up, we remove them immediately. The health and well-being of our students are our top priorities, and we can’t stress enough how seriously we take these responsibilities.

Always Keep You in the Loop

If a food recall does occur that relates to our menu, rest assured that we will keep you informed right away! We understand how important it is for families to stay updated, and communication is key. Your peace of mind matters to us, and we are committed to ensuring that you’re aware of any changes.

Stay Informed with Reliable Sources

For those who want to stay on top of food recalls and safety alerts, there’s a reliable resource you can turn to. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has a dedicated section for Recalls, Market Withdrawals, & Safety Alerts. You’ll find all the latest updates, which can further help you feel informed and at ease about the choices being made for your child’s meals. To check it out, visit their site here: FDA Recall Alerts.

We’re Here for You!

As always, if you’ve got any questions or just want to chat about school meals, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Food & Nutrition Department. We appreciate your trust and support, and we’re all in this together in nourishing the minds and bodies of our future!
