An unfortunate incident gripped the hearts of Hillsdale County residents on Friday night as a toddler was fatally struck by a car. This tragedy has brought attention back to the necessity of extra vigilance during prime-hours of residential traffic, especially amidst the bustling traffic of the weekend.
In the quiet surroundings of Allen Township in Hillsdale County, what seemed to be an ordinary Friday night turned fatal for a toddler who had strayed out of her home. In a heart-wrenching development, Michigan State police have revealed the child was struck by a car on the 200 block of Chicago Street at around 8:15 p.m.
On arrival at the scene, state troopers found first responders in the road trying to save the toddler’s life. The troopers joined in the effort to sustain the young girl’s life until an EMS unit could arrive..

Succeeding in passing unnoticed, she walked out of the house and onto Chicago Street where she was hit by an oncoming car.
