Trump Press Conference at New Jersey Golf Resort
Trump Speaks Out Against Vice President Kamala Harris
Former President Donald Trump conducted a press conference today at his golf resort in Bedminster, NJ. During the conference, Trump voiced his unhappiness towards Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, blaming her for the criminal charges he currently faces.
“As far as the personal attacks, I’m very angry at her because of what she’s done to the country. I’m very angry at her that she would weaponize the justice system against me and other people, very angry at her. I think I’m entitled to personal attacks,” Trump declared.
Trump’s Economic Focus
At the news conference, Trump attempted to attribute Harris with the unpopular economic record of President Joe Biden. Referencing a collection of groceries, he highlighted the rising costs of everyday items. His economic message took center stage for more than half an hour, reading from a pre-prepared script he had in front of him.
“Kamala Harris is a radical California liberal who broke the economy, broke the border and broke the world, frankly,” Trump explained.
Adding Humor to Serious Issues
In the midst of talking about the 2020 election loss, Trump noticed a box of cereal. “I haven’t seen Cheerios in a long time,” Trump said. “I’m going to take then back to my cottage.”
Changes in Trump’s Campaign
Earlier in the day, announcements came from Trump’s campaign leaders about planned expansion of staff, incorporating several previous aids and external advisors formally into the fold. This update happens a few weeks after President Joe Biden’s announcement that he would not be seeking re-election, thus endorsing Harris.
Trump’s Confidence in His Team
Trump expressed high confidence in his top advisors, writing on his social media that his management team headed by Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles are “THE BEST.”
Trump’s Push Toward Harris’ Transparency
As Trump raises his voice against Harris, he criticized her for not holding a news conference or participating in interviews since Biden stepped down. This pressure is supposedly part of his ongoing efforts to challenge Harris’ upcoming presidential candidacy.
