There was a surge of distress and panic in Redford Township, Wayne County, when a frightening shootout took place in a local Little Caesars, leaving two people injured on Saturday afternoon.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m at the said pizza shop located on Seven Mile Road, near Inkster Road. Witnesses said there were several shots fired from both inside and outside the restaurant which sent customers and employees scrambling for cover.
Following the incident, two individuals speculated to be involved in the shootout were found at a nearby hospital, both nursing gunshot wounds. It was reported that one was promptly treated and released, while the other with more severe injuries is luckily expected to pull through.
Following the preliminary investigation, the police are beginning to piece together the events of this terrifying afternoon. It seems that the incident was not a random act of violence, but a targeted attack. The injured individuals were likely the primary targets of this outrageous act. However, so far, no arrests have been made.
