Westland, Michigan Hosts Second-Anual Pet Adoption Event With Over 150 Animals Available

Westland, Michigan: A Celebration of Pet Adoption

On Saturday, September 14, the second-annual Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter event will take place at the Michigan Humane’s Berman Center for Animal Care located at 900 N. Newburgh Road in Westland. This exciting event promises to connect potential pet owners with furry friends looking for a loving home.

Over 150 Animals Available for Adoption

In a collaboration with the Mike Morse Law Firm, this year’s event will feature over 150 adoptable animals, including dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Various animal welfare organizations will join forces to provide a wide selection of pets. Participating organizations include:

  • Michigan Humane
  • Lincoln Park Animal Shelter
  • No Dogs Left Behind
  • Good Karma Puppy Rescue
  • Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society

What to Bring

If you are planning to adopt a pet during this event, it’s important to remember a few key details. Potential adopters should bring a valid state-issued photo ID to help facilitate the adoption process. Additionally, to ensure that all animals can find their forever homes, it’s advised to leave any resident pets at home.

Adoption Requirements and Fees

Each participating organization will have its own adoption requirements that potential adopters will need to follow. Adoption fees may also vary from one group to another. It’s a great opportunity for individuals and families to find their new companions while supporting animal welfare organizations in the community.

More Information

For those interested in the adoption process or looking to learn more about the available animals, further details can be found on Michigan Humane’s website at www.michiganhumane.org/pet-adoption/. This online resource provides information on how to adopt, what to expect during the process, and a list of animals currently looking for homes.

A Community Effort

The Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter event is not just about finding pets homes, but also about promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in the region. Volunteers and staff from the various organizations work tirelessly to ensure that animals receive the care they need and that prospective owners are matched with pets that suit their lifestyles.

Mark Your Calendar!

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend this heartwarming event! Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or simply learn more about pet ownership, the Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter event is an excellent opportunity for the community to come together for a noble cause. Join the festivities from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, September 14th, and help make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
