Local Woman in Westland Faces Serious Charges After Ramming Car into Vehicles and Injuring Two People

In Westland, Michigan, a local woman, April Marie Graves, is facing serious charges after allegedly ramming her car into multiple vehicles, causing injuries to two individuals over this past weekend. The incident has shocked the local community and raises serious questions about road safety.

The Wayne County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy has charged the 43-year-old woman with an astonishing 13 counts, among which are two charges of assault with intent to murder. He stated “I cannot think of a more stunning example of alleged criminal behavior of a driver behind the steering wheel of a motor vehicle.”

Graves had her arraignment this Tuesday where her bond was set at an massive $850,000. What followed the arraignment was even more dramatic as she collapsed on the floor and had to be led out by law enforcement officers.

The terrifying incident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on a Saturday. Graves is accused of driving erratically at a high speed on Wildwood St., crashing into multiple parked vehicles. According to police, Graves was likely under the influence of an intoxicant during this rampage.

Bystanders Luke and Hailey Vinsko were unloading items from their car when Graves is said to have driven into them. The impact was so severe that Luke had to have part of his leg amputated.

Hailey provided a chilling account of the incident. She said, “We were putting those golf clubs in his trunk, and we had dinner in our hands and she floored her car and rammed him and pinned him… and she laughed in my face when I tried to reach into her car to turn it off.”

Hailey’s mother, who came over to help also testified that the accused laughed at her too. Tears streaming down her face, she said, “This is their house. This is where you’re supposed to be safe and protected.”

Surprisingly, neither of them recognized the woman who caused such devastation. Hailey stated, “We’ve never seen her before in our entire lives. I have no idea who she is. We were at the wrong place, wrong time at our own house.”

Despite the horrible incident, the family remains positive as they heal, claiming that they’re staying positive and taking it one day at a time.
